The Oyler School Foundation, USA 

This foundation was created in May 2005 for the students of The Oyler School in Ohio, USA to create a brighter future through providing college scholarships, education, learning and greater life experience.

How The Foundation Started

In May 2005, while on a seminar tour of the USA, I was asked to go and present for students at a local school in Cincinatti, Ohio.  In the past I had spoken to many other schools in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.  This school was different and left a lasting impact on myself & the lives of many other people.

As I was driving on the first day I was due to speak at the Oyler School we entered an area called 'Low Cost Hill', it wasn't long before the neighbourhood turned from bad to worse.  I've spent time in some bad areas growing up in Chicago and this area sent chills down my spine.   The first thing I noticed about the school was that the doors were chained shut.  I later found out that this was to keep the drug dealers OUT of the school. 

Before addressing the students at their morning assembly, the headmaster of the school informed me that the school has a 100% drop out rate from junior school into high school.  Which means that nobody makes it into high school!  This astounded me.  He later proceeded to tell me that in the last 7 years only 12 kids had made it to high school and that no one had ever gone to university or college.

That morning in May as I stood on the stage to speak to the 6th, 7th & 8th graders I looked out and saw 850 students with blank faces.  Faces with no hope.  Souls with no purpose.

These kids did not need another motivational 'pump up' session.  In fact the month before my session the First Lady had addressed these same students.  What these kids needed was someone to take action.

So right there in the middle of my presentation on the stage in front of 850 students, teachers and the Action Coaches who had set up this presentation, I had an awakening. I realised if I didn't take immediate action then everything I was attempting to teach these young people was all fluff and I would be nothing more than a motivational speaker.  Unless someone took action right now none of these kids had any hope of ever making it out of the neighbourhood.  You see, knowing something is not enough,  Doing something with what you know is power.  Right there on the spot I decided to take some dramatic action. 

I declared to the kids sitting there that I would create a program that would give them the life skills they need to make it through school and life.  AND for any of them that regularly attended the program and make it through high school and get accepted to university or college, we would pay for 4 years of their college education.

Having a Higher Purpose

As Marie and I were doing this USA seminar tour we were driving from one city to the next and Marie said the me that as a couple and as a company we have to have a higher purpose for what we do.  She said that it has to be about more that just making money or building the business.  We had always known that we have been doing it for a higher purpose yet we had never clarified exactly what that purpose was. 

So just days before I stepped on stage at the Oyler School we declared that our higher purpose is: "To Create Global Abundance Through Love & Empowerment"

I am certain in my mind that it is because we created this higher purpose, that the Oyler School foundation was born.

About the Oyler School Foundation Program

The program for the Oyler School would not be a success without the dedication, time, energy and loving efforts of some very special people.  At present, there are 28 students in the program and we have local Action International coaches in Ohio who are assisting and running the program at the school.

The team is lead by Nicholas Kontras who has poured his heart and soul into making this program a total success.

• The students have completed a series of personal development, self-improvement and goal building exercises including finishing my 'Fire Up Your Life' audio program and workbook on how to create your compelling future and make lasting change. 

• Also all of the students have received copies of various books, dvds and cds on taking their lives to the next level.

• In addition to this, we have made every student a member of the our 'Life Success Club' which is a monthly coaching program.  These programs are facilitated on special days at the school by Nicholas and other volunteers. 

• As part of the students life experience we are teaching them in order to get value you have to give value.  The students have also been asked to contribute back to their own community in order to make it a better place to be

How You Can Help

Needless to say, to send all these young people to university is going to cost millions of dollars.   This is where we need your help.

Already we have had numerous donations from people and companies around the world.  Thank you so much.  Also at every 2-day event 'Power Up To Peak Performance' we run a 'fine' system and collect donations which has already amounted in thousands of dollars.

In places like the Oyler School, education leads to knowledge and knowledge leads to freedom.  For these students to make a difference in their own life, an education is vital to help them secure employment and a brighter future.
